Mr. Kirkland established Kirkland Development with the guiding principles of providing quality without compromise. The executive staff at Kirkland Development have decades of commercial real estate development experience in a variety of arenas. The team has a strong balance of excellence with regard to integrity, professionalism, dedication, and ambition. The staff of the company, to date, have completed more than 60 commercial real estate developments valued at over $400,000,000. Development sectors have included residential, retail, medical, hospitality, industrial, and mixed use that add significant value to the land they occupy as well as the community.
Upon construction, Kirkland Development manages their projects with the same quality approach to maximize the value and experience for tenants and retailers.
Mr. Kirkland has over 28 years experience in the real estate investment market. Prior to the founding of Kirkland Global and its affiliated companies, Dean served as a principal and partner with a successful local development company prior to founding Kirkland Development. Past projects include over 1,500 residential lots, office buildings, and various commercial and light industrial projects. Since 1995 Dean has raised over $750,000,000 for various investments. Dean is specifically responsible for land acquisition, and procurement of all funding for the projects. Dean’s day-to-day duties help to propel the company’s vision for new investment projects, wherever the real estate market provides opportunities. Mr. Kirkland has a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Washington.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Miller serves as Chief Financial Officer for Kirkland Development, LLC. Before joining the company, Mr. Miller held a number of key positions in his 26 years of Senior Management experience with Public and Private Companies. Mr. Miller has experience in streamlining companies and increasing significant information flow to all stakeholders and restructuring distressed companies and properties.
In Mr. Miller’s current capacity as Chief Financial Officer, he oversees the operations of the company. He works with Department managers to increase productivity and profitability, through timely information and stated goals and objectives. He meets regularly with financial partners in Kirkland Development, LLC’s projects and representatives from the banking industry. Mr. Miller has a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Chapman University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance from California State University at Fullerton.
Prior to the start of the various Kirkland companies, Mrs. Kirkland served as an owner of the KVJ Properties, Inc. KVJ Properties successfully developed and built out over 40 projects, both in development and general construction. Kristin is responsible for the day to day operations of the companies, as well as the on-going communication with the financial partners and banking.
Director of Finance
Mr. Isikbay serves as the Director of Finance for Kirkland Development, LLC. Before joining the company, Mr. Isikbay held a senior associate position at a prestigious boutique foreign capital investment firm in Portland, OR, managing the firm’s deal-sourcing and research efforts. He conducted the financial due-diligence on existing companies as well as acquisitions on CRE through financial statement and pricing analysis for the firm’s investment decision-making process.
In his current role as the Director of Finance, Mr. Isikbay works with existing staff to obtain financing, lead due-diligence efforts, and increase the efficiency of day-to-day operations as well as project management of new and existing developments. He has a certificate in Financial Accounting from Harvard Business School, a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Technology Entrepreneurship jointly delivered by the University of Portland and Oregon Health & Sciences University, and has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Portland.
